holiday home : snapshots

today i'd like to invite you into our holiday home. although very much impromptu this year, i think it has come together well. i employed lots of natural colors and textures, my favorites being brown paper and burlap. the color palette has developed to one of organic evergreen, jute, and shimmery metallics. since moving in so recently, most everything has been done on the cheap, but that's what i love about it. paper chains made from save-the-date scraps and anthropologie catalogs, big glass vessels found on clearance, thrifted finds, old christmas cards, and yarn are just a few of the bits and pieces that make up the festive decor.

so grab a mug of something warm, cozy up and enjoy the tour.
